Somehow, I keep coming again and again to the bunny subject. I just cannot resist the temptation and must paint another one . Teaching with these seemingly stupid examples makes life happier for me and my students. Just in case you were wondering about it I’m a huge fun of Suicidal bunnies comic strip by Andy Riley.

 

Speed painting

He tenido que hacer una demo de speed painting en la academia, aproximadamente una hora. Este es el resultado, tiene un aspecto algo extraño, pero es el problema de trabajar muy rápido.

Sometimes you just need to make another dragon

Diving through my files, I’ve found this one just wainting to see the light. I remember sitting waiting for inspiration in my work and starting to sketch something else. It could be  only one thing, another dragon.

Buceando entre mis archivos acabo de encontrar esta imagen esperando para ver la luz. Recuerdo haber estado intentando trabajar en algo, empezar a hacer cualquier otra cosa, y claro, sólo podía salir otro dragón.

And yet another creature

There´s a lot of time I don’t post anything . Truth is I’ve been busy creating material I cannot really show here, for the moment. The fact is I was really craving for a moment of relax sketching another weird creature. I hope I can continue making more creatures soon.

Hace bastante tiempo que no posteo nada. Lo cierto es que he estado ocupadísimo con material que de momento no puedo enseñar. He estado esperando como loco un momentito de relax para sentarme a dibujar una de mis extrañas criaturas. Espero que vayan apareciendo más dentro de poco.

What I’m doing lately

Well, this last two months I have been busy, veeery busy. I haven’t been around for a long time.  I am overwhelmed with work, and that, as things go by now in Spain, are really good news. Not everything I am working on I can show right now, but I can post something, kind of a bit of everything.  Hopefully more is coming soon.

Goblin’s Best Friend / El mejor amigo del goblin

One of the really wonderful things in life is having a pet. In my case, as a bloodthirsty battle hardened tough goblin, my good old Spike is the perfect companion. He doesn’t mind that you have gone out to war for an hour or a whole week. He is immensely happy as soon as he sees you opening the door coming back from work. Maybe the battle had turned out badly, or perhaps the bloody Orks had changed their loyalties again, depriving you of your well deserved loot, or you have been unable to satisfy your thirst for blood. All that doesn’t matter for him. All he really wants is to have you by his side, a bowl full of meat and his skull to play. For me, happiness is just to relax after a good hard day’s work, resting your feet on his back while you read the newspaper.

Una de las cosas maravillosas que tiene la vida es tener una mascota. En mi caso, un aguerrido goblin, endurecido en las batallas y sediento de sangre, el buen viejo Spike se ha convertido en un compañero perfecto. A él no le importa nada que te hayas ido a hacer la guerra por una hora o durante una semana. Es inmensamente feliz sólo de verte abrir la puerta a la vuelta del trabajo. Puede que la batalla haya ido mal, o puede que los malditos orcos hayan cambiado de bando de nuevo, dejándote sin tu merecido botín, o que no hayas podido saciar tu sed de sangre. Todo eso no significa nada para él. Todo lo que quiere es que estés a su lado, un plato de carne fresca, y su craneo para jugar. Para mí, la felicidad consiste en relajarse después de un día duro apoyando los pies en su espalda mientras lees el periódico.

Pictoribug

It cannot be said that exist on earth stranger beings or even more disgusting that the pictoribug, all tubes and carapace. But, in spite of its ugliness, it posess a remarkable artistic ability. With the end of its tail, and with pigments excreted by its body glands, can create atonishing masterpieces. Legend says that Leonardo da Vinci had one, which he loved very much, but it is never been proved so.

No se puede decir que existan seres de aspecto más extraño, o incluso repugnante que el de un pictoribug, todo tubos y caparazón. Sin embargo a pesar de su fealdad posee un talento artístico excepcional, con el extremo de su cola y con pigmentos que él mismo segrega, es capaz de crear obras de arte de singular belleza. Se dice que Leonardo da Vinci poseía uno, y que le tenía un gran cariño, sin embargo nunca ha podido comprobarse.
