Dragones otra vez

Bueno, creo que ya es hora de aparecer de nuevo por estos lares. Lo cierto es que tengo el blog completamente abandonado ye empieza a caérseme la cara de verguenza. No me he muerto no, pero lo cierto es que mucho del trabajo que hago ultimamente no se puede enseñar. De momento iré poco a poco colgando un poquito de mis divagaciones personales a base de conejitos, dragones y bichos varios. Como no podía ser de otra manera aquí va otro dragón, nunca hay suficientes dragones, ni conejitos…

There’s bunnies everywhere

I have been making some images just for fun without any kind of justification. Only when you look at them when they are somewhat finished, you start to think, there’s something missing. The answer is obvious, when you don’t know what to do just put a rabbit.

Ando dibujando ultimamente algunas ilustraciones sin ningún tipo de justificación, cuando las terminas muchas veces te las quedas mirando, consciente de que les falta algo. Bueno, la respuesta está clara, cuando no sepas qué poner pon un conejo.

EXPOSÉ 10

Well, it seems this year two of my works will be featured in EXPOSÉ 10, Titania and No place for bunnies. Both have been around for some time, in fact this last one has been awarded with an excellence award and and will show on double page. Well, I have to say I am completely amazed, in fact my original intention was to make a quick and funny sketch, but I ended with a great piece. It works that way, sometimes magic just happens and sometimes don´t no matater the number of hours you spend on a particular image. The two of them have nothing in common, except there was no commercial intention in the making. Hope you like them.

Bueno, parece que este año dos de mis ilustraciones van a salir en EXPOSÉ 10, Titania y No place for bunnies. Las dos llevan rodando un tiempecillo, y en concreto la del conejillo va a salir a doble página y con un excellence award. Lo cual me ha dejado flipado, de hecho la intención original era hacer un bocetillo rápido y divertido, pero al final acabó siendo una imagen, creo, muy interesante. Es así como va, unas veces la magia funciona, y otras no, sin importar el número de horas que le eches. No tienen nada en común la una con la otra, excepto que se hicieron sólamente por diversión, sin ser trabajo comercial alguno.

Buenas, he estado fuera de combate durante una larga temporada, ocupado con el trabajo que paga las facturas al fin y al cabo, absolutamente colapsado, ahí tenéis los beneficios de ser freelance, y de paso aquí os dejo una ilustración que llevaba bastante tiempo queriendo ver la luz.
